I have everything I need to switch over, but my school has 2000 and I'm scared that anything I make for school on 07 won't be compatable with their computers, making the switch pointless. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Can I make something in Microsoft office 2007 and view it in 2000?antivirus software
Office button%26gt;Save As%26gt;Word 97-2003 document.
Also you can set this as default:
Office button%26gt;Word Options%26gt; click save on right%26gt;Save files in this format: Word 97-2003 Document.
Otherwise .docx is the default, which older versions can't recognize. I guess microsoft was forward thinking with docx instead of doc files.

Yes. Just use the "Save As" option when you save your file and select the office 1997-2003 option. I do it all the time.
Try it out with a test file, if it does not work then goto http://www.openoffice.org
and down load openoffice for free, it is compatable with all microsoft office and word programs and any other program that uses power point.
yes just save it in the file type that lower versions of MS office will be able to read
