i have Ms Office 2003,

i dn't even kno if they have ms office vista , but is it a good idea to upgrade to MS OFFICE XP?

Office 2003 is actually newer than Office XP. Office XP was released in 2001, and Office 2003 was released in 2003.

You could upgrade to Office 2007, but they've changed the user interface radically.
