Does anyone have an opinion about Microsoft Office 2006 as compared to 2007?

All I really use is Outlook and Excel right now. Any feedback from anyone on Office 2006 would be greatly appreciated.

As there is no such thing as Office 2006, go with the 2007. Real programs tend to run better then non-existence ones. (LOL)

If you already have 2003 (the last version) I would not spend the money to get the new one. There are not enough difference to justify the price. The only reason to go with 2007 is if you are running Windows Vista, as it is designed to work better with Vista.

2007 is also a memory and hard drive hog. If you are running an older PC (2 years or more old), go with 2003. The PC may not be powerful enough to properly handle 2007.

If you do not have 2003, and are running a new PC, then go with the 2007 as Microsoft will continue to support it for longer. Expect support for 2003 to end some time next year.

2007 is the newer one well duh right but yea when ever its out on a new year like if they made one for 2008 they updated it so that it has newer features thats what the years mean basically its improved from the 2006 microsoft Office and its important to improve stuff because in life i think its always important to upgrade, you dont see a lot of people downgrading am i right?
The previous version of Office was 2003, newest is 2007. 2007 is a major change from what you are used to, and doesn't really offer the average home/student user any advantage over the previous version.

So . . .

If the 2003 is working for you, keep using it. Don't fix what's not broken.

Good Luck!
