I got a new laptop with Vista on it. I need to load Microsoft Office on to it. Will the XP version work with a Visat operating system?

Yes it will work fine. Microsoft made sure that all of their older programs for Windows XP are compatible with Vista. It is 3rd party applications (programs from companies other than Microsoft) that have compatibility issues. I had Office XP 2003 on Vista until I recently upgraded to Office 2007.

Yes it does. That is what I am using on my Vista system now.
I am using Microsoft Office XP PRO on Vista now and all works fine.
