If you can't get that - think about the OpenOffice Suite (its FREE and downloadable).

There are probably some "differences" between Ms-Powerpoint and OpenOffice. You need to check, but you can still use it for FREE.

This may not pertain to you, but many Universities offer software free to students. The one i attended helped me with office.
Go to OpenOffice.Org and download OpenOffice Free. It has a Microsoft compatible word processor, spreadsheet, and more. You can use OpenOffice Impress for presentations to view Powerpoint presentations or to create work and save in PowerPoint format for your friends using MS software. OpenOffice is free for personal and commercial use!
