What is the difference between Microsoft Office & Open Office? & what exactly is Microsoft W

No professional or company uses Microsoft Works. If you can not afford Microsoft Office get OpenOffice which is free, not Microsoft Works. Microsoft Works only positive is it is cheap $90 (you can install on only one computer), but you can get a home and student version of Microsoft Office that you can install on 3 PC's in the same household for $120, so which is really cheaper.

OpenOffice is free and compatible with most Microsoft Office applications.
