Unfortunately, you can't upgrade: you have to buy the new version.

Office 2007 isn't an update - it's a whole new version. It's as if you have Windows XP and wanted to get Vista. It's a whole new program so you have to buy the new version.

Have you tried open office? It's almost just like MS Office, but totally free (it's open source).
