Is there any way to make Microsoft Office 2007 look like the old versions?

I'm in an online microcomputer applications class(we work with the Mircrosoft Office programs like Word, Excel, etc) and of course we have a book. The book says step by step how to do stuff, but the problem is, it's set for the 2003 software, not 2007.

I had been using M.O. 2000 but I was having some problems so I decided to get the new version, which I think might have been a big mistake and a huge waste of money.

I can't use this current version for my lessons at all. I'm barely even finding any of the things I used to use! Did they do away with a ton of things or are they in hiding?

If anybody knows if there is any way to make the new programs look like the old ones, layout whys, that would be great.

we have the same problem, i think there's no way unless you uninstall it and go back to old version, because there is a lot of stuff had been upgraded and added. the best thing is to get familiar with it, spend more time at the beginning then later on you will find it is more easier and more functions than the old one, check the "what's new stuffs"..
