I couldn't use my financial aid to buy it because my bookstore no longer carries it and I won't have any money until the end of September. Please help if you can.
I am a poor college student in NC. Can anyone recommend how I can get Microsoft Office 2003 for my classes?matchless
Try the Information Technolgy department. They sometimes are able to distribute the software for university work.

Why use MSOffice, when you can use Openoffice for free?
www.openoffice.org
Basically, a free version of MSOffice, includes excell, powerpoint, and all the other MS applications. I've been using it for years.
Well, i agree with the Open office option and Linux (read ubuntu) is a good alternate to Windows.
I studied at NC state and I dont think the school distributes MS office to students, though some microsoft products are distributed free of cost.
Another option to look at is a trial version of MS office from microsoft's website. Well it will atleast get you started.
Other ways of using office products is working at school or public library nearby.
