Can I install Microsoft Office 97 into a PC with Windows Vista opearting system?

Word 97, Excel, 97, and Powerpoint 97 work the same way in Vista as they do in earlier Windows versions. Access 97 has the same installation issues in Vista that it does with Windows XP, and the same workarounds apply, but should work the same way in Vista as it does in earlier Windows versions once you get it installed. Outlook 97 will have problems with Vista, so you should probably use Windows Mail (which comes with Vista) or another Vista-compatible email program for email.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes - you can install it. But I dont know if Vista will be compatible with it or not. It should be, since they are Microsoft.

Put in the disk - the worse that will happen is it will come up and tell you its not compatible. If you dont see an error saying that, it will install.

On a side note - I dont think MS puts out any updates anymore for 97. But it was a good Office Suite :-)
