You can use OpenOffice from www.openoffice.org . It's a free office suite.

You may need the help of good download manager like GetRight from www.getright.com to help you accelerate and resume your download of its installation file because its installation file size is quite large. Otherwise, you can try to get its installation CD from its distributor in your neighborhood.

If you were just looking for just a free word processor, you can try AbiWord from www.abiword.com .
Yeah. There are a few. Try googleing the software called "OpenOffice". Its a free set of programs that mimics the Microsoft Office software and is pretty easy to use, and will open your office documents. Its open source, so don't worry about ever having to pay for it either :-D
OpenOffice.org

90MB download I think
www.openoffice.org

It's the best out there.
