I have tried to uninstall and re-install, and Word will not install properly. Excel and Outlook are fine. I have searched every error and made the repairs, but now it gets almost done, and hangs.

Do you have a LEGAL copy of MS Office?
If yes, check and make sure your CD's are clean.
What is your Operating System?
Does your PC meet all the HARDWARE requirements for MS Office installation?
When you un-installed MS Office, did you REBOOT your pc?
If not, please TURN OFF your pc, wait for 2-3 mins, then turn back ON.
Then try to re-install MS Office again ... Word, Excel and Outlook -together-, NOT one-at-a-time.

1. update your antivirus and antispyware software and do a full system scan using both
2. clean if there is virus, spyware, disconnect from the internet
3. reboot pc, then turn off programs running from startup, those have icons near the clock, including antivirus software, printer software etc.
4. try the installation again, good chance you will succeed.
